The Moose is a river of many moods and splendid surprises. Rafting trips here range from easy to extremely challenging. At our Moose River Rafting Center, you'll also want to take advantage of other outdoor programs like bicycling, canoeing and kayak touring. Also, our Old Forge Outfitters store is a wonderful place to find everything from boats and gear to simple souvenirs. The Lower Moose (Up to Class V) This is an extraordinary EXPERIENCED-ONLY trip. The Lower Moose demands of every participant the very highest levels of skill, strength, stamina, river savvy and teamwork. This is big, powerful, awe-inspiring whitewater, and needs to be taken seriously. Don't consider this trip unless you are a veteran of several Class IV or V river trips, and you are well prepared for the possibility of an unforeseen swim in very rough water, cold conditions, or both. 2001 Lower Moose River Trip ScheduleMinimum Age: Absolutely no one under 18 Duration: 4-1/2 to 5-1/2 hours
